Lina Abascal

Lina Abascal is a writer born and raised in Los Angeles. She has written about culture, technology, and music for publications including Playboy, Variety, The Face, and The Fader. Her satire has appeared in McSweeney’s. She formerly wrote the VICE column “Around the World in 80 Raves.” She is the author of three self-published essay and short story chapbooks and teaches English at California State University, Long Beach. She is the founder and moderator of a book club at the nonprofit art space Junior High Los Angeles.
