Corporate, Governmental and Institutional Network content filtering, hosts files and JavaScript blocking
Blocking sites via a firewall, router, hosts file or other software, depending on the configuration, may cause the adblocking notice to appear because they are blocking the files and scripts required to display ads.
Note that if you are using a combination of extensions, you may need to reload several times to achieve whitelisting.
Browser based blocking can be verified by opening the console in your browser and observing the “Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT” Error message.
Network blocking/filtering can be verified by opening the console in your browser and observing the “net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET” or “ net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED” – This indicates your network is failing to reach the resource (typically a networking issue on the computer, router or ISP)
